Implementing the new National Curriculum

a senior-level seminar in Central London on Tuesday 8th of October
by Westminster Forum Projects

Guests of Honour: Tim Oates, Group Director, Assessment Research and Development, Cambridge Assessment and Chair, Expert Panel, National Curriculum Review (2011) and a senior speaker confirmed from the Department for Education

Following the Westminster Education Forum’s series of subject-specific seminars reviewing the proposed Programmes of Study earlier in the year, this timely seminar will focus on issues around the implementation of the new National Curriculum as a whole, ahead of its introduction in September 2014. Delegates will discuss the opportunities for cross-curricular learning within the new curriculum, and the teaching resources that will be required for its delivery. The teacher training implications of the curriculum will also be considered, as will the extent to which the curriculum prepares pupils for transitions between Key Stages.
