Ethnologue update

The website www.ethnologue.com  has now published its 17th edition of its map of the world’s languages. As to date, there are 7105 languages included in the database. The team arount Ethnologue has announced that updates are going to be published annualy, not every fourth year as was the case until now. Behind the Ethnologue stans the Summer Institute of Linguistics with a team of researchers working on the database in Dallas, Texas.
