Today, we lead with a summary of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to London, during which she addressed both Houses of Parliament, had tea with Queen Elizabeth II and had lunch with Prime Minister David Cameron.

Furthermore, we would like to draw your attention to German language summer courses organized by UK-German Connection for secondary pupils.

In addition, this newsletter includes a selection of news stories, as well as events taking place in the next couple of weeks. Lastly, we have included in this newsletter a feature on the Carnival tradition of the Rhineland region in Germany.
