Staff mobility opportunities with Erasmus+

Staff mobility opportunities with Erasmus+

The new Erasmus + Programme offers primary and secondary schools the opportunity to apply for European funds for staff mobility.

This means that your school may be able to get financial support to assist staff to take part in courses abroad or to job shadow. This type of funding comes under Key Action 1 of the Programme: http://erasmusplus.org.uk/key-action-1/mobility-for-school-staff.

In order to apply for funding schools will need to:

  • Obtain an ECAS account for Erasmus+ and obtain a Personal Identification Code.
  • Complete an application form which includes completing a European Development Plan where you should identify your school’s development and training objectives for the next one or two years, underlining it’s European dimension. These are available at:http://erasmusplus.org.uk/key-action-1/mobility-for-school-staff

For schools the deadline for Erasmus + funding this year is 17 March 2014 by 11.00 GMT (12.00 CET), so it’s important to register and apply now.  Your first port of call for more information and advice should be http://www.erasmusplus.org.uk/.
