Translation studies and Languages for Specific Purposes (Themed issue) – call for submissions

Call for submissions to Scripta Manent’s themed issue on Translation studies and Languages for Specific Purposes: 26 May 2019

Translation studies and Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP) share areas of interest, research and methodologies. Their sisterly relationship, however, has yet to be explored. The case of specialized translation, be it technical, legal, financial, etc., has even closer links with LSP. There are common terminological and lexicographic resources to use, overarching multilingual language policies to apply and similar competencies to develop. In this themed issue of Scripta Manent, we therefore aim to explore the relationships between LSP and Translation studies capitalizing on the topics shared by both fields. Papers are expected to have a sound theoretical basis and provide findings relevant to educational contexts.
