On behalf of the organising committee of the Semmelweis Medical Linguistics Conference, we’d like to inform you that due to the significant number of colleagues requesting a deadline extension, the Semmelweis Medical Linguistics Conference (SMLC) continues to welcome abstract submissions.

Please find below the 3rd call for papers, featuring the extended deadlines:

– The abstract submission and registration deadline is extended until April 9, 2024.

– Abstract notifications will be sent by April 15, 2024.

– The payment deadline is extended until April 25, 2024.

SMLC2024 is a hybrid event, which will be held in Budapest/Hungary, 31 May – 1 June 2024, offering both in-person and virtual participation options. The primary objective is to bring together researchers and instructors specialized in healthcare communication, medical translation and interpreting, terminology, pragmatics, artificial intelligence, intercultural communication, discourse analysis, metaphors, sociolinguistics, speech analysis, genre analysis, and patient-centered communication, as well as languages for specific purposes.
