Registrations are now open for the Languages and Cultures Network for Australian Universities (LCNAU) Eighth Biennial Colloquium hosted by the University of Sydney’s School of Languages and Cultures on 27–29 November 2024.
The colloquium features keynotes from a host of experts from Australia and beyond:
- Denise Angelo, Jasmine Seymour, Josephine Lardy and Carmel Ryan (Indigenous panel) | Recognising Indigenous language ecologies – why this matters in practice and policy
- Professor Charles Forsdick (University of Cambridge) | From crisis to transformation: towards a UK national languages strategy
- Professor Claire Maree (University of Melbourne) | Disrupting inequities: diversity, inclusion and social equity in tertiary language education
Join scholars, practitioners, early career researchers and postgraduate students to explore the theme ‘Trans/Formation: research and education in languages and cultures’ to consider how (re)constructing ideas and practices can help us to think in new ways across the relationship between culture and language.
Concession and LCNAU members rates are available.
