On 31 August 2024, the Brazilian German Teachers Association (BraDLV) held its annual board meeting on the premises of the German School in Curitiba, Brazil. This event brought together representatives from BraDLV and its six regional associations to share their annual reports and discuss current developments in German language education across the country.

A highlight of the meeting was a language policy workshop on best practices for implementing the Vienna Theses in Brazil. The workshop was led by FIPLV Secretary General Geraldo de Carvalho.

A representative from the Goethe-Institut São Paulo also joined the meeting and emphasized the importance of joint projects between BraDLV and the Goethe-Institut.
