Recognizing exceptional and outstanding contributions to language teaching and learning

The FIPLV International Award is FIPLV’s highest distinction and can be awarded to FIPLV members who distinguish or have distinguished themselves by being exceptionally active, innovative, valuable, talented, in one or more fields of language learning and language teaching.

Member associations are invited to nominate candidates for the 2023 FIPLV International Award and must ensure that the full documentation reaches the Secretary-General (geraldo.carvalho@werther.com.br) by 1 February 2024.

The Institute of Languages for Specific Purposes of Semmelweis University is pleased to invite you to the Semmelweis Medical Linguistics Conference taking place on May 31 – June 1 2024 in Budapest, Hungary. Please see the call for papers below.

Similarly to SMLC2023, SMLC2024 is a hybrid conference that will run both fully in-person and fully virtually. It aims to bring together researchers and lecturers who have expertise in healthcare communication including medical translation and interpreting, terminology, pragmatics, artificial intelligence, intercultural communication, discourse analysis, metaphors, sociolinguistics, speech analysis, genre analysis, patient-centered communication as well as languages for specific purposes.
